Little damsel, knight-in-training?

Little explorers can dress up in the knights’ room and climb into the saddle of the wooden horse. At selected stations, Carl the Dragon explains the exhibits in a way that’s easy for kids to understand—turning learning into an adventure. Special activities for children, such as sword-fighting workshops and Easter egg hunts, are held regularly.

Collections and Exhibits

The Castle Museum appeals not only to castle enthusiasts but also to lovers of armor, weapons, and hunting trophies from around the world. A particular highlight is the collection of ornate stove tiles from the Rheinböllerhütte, which were once used to distribute heat in farmhouses.

NO dogs allowed in the museum

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in the castle museum. We cannot make an exception even for small dogs. Please keep this in mind when planning your visit to the museum.
