A challenging time lies behind us in which we have missed you very much. Therefore, we are all the more pleased to be there for you again – with the usual care, the necessary distance and all our heart’s warmth!
Despite all the joy about this development, the protection of you and our team continues to have the highest priority. We have therefore developed a catalogue of measures with our hygiene standards so that we can guarantee the best possible protection in every area during your stay. Please support us in this and observe our hygiene guidelines. We would like to explain the individual measures to you in the following. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time. We look forward to your visit!
OUR SELF-CONCEPTION //
Communication is always carried out in compliance with the prescribed minimum distance of 1.5 metres, which we also ask you to observe.
We have installed distance markings and partitions which guarantee a regulated and safe guest traffic. Please follow the signs and the routing and observe the minimum distance of 1.5 metres.
Extensive cleaning and disinfection are standard at Reichenstein Castle. Additionally, we increase the disinfection of all contact surfaces.
In the entrance and sanitary areas, you have the possibility to disinfect your hands. Please make use of this.
For mutual protection our employees wear masks. We also ask you to wear a mask in all areas. Please bring your own mask.
Our employees receive weekly training and are asked about symptoms of illness.
WHAT ELSE WE DO IN OUR RESTAURANT TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY //
Even though our rooms offer a lot of space, we temporarily limit the number of guests per room. The safety distance of at least 1.5 metres is ensured by tables that remain unoccupied.
We ask for your understanding that we will have to adapt our service and procedures a little. Our service personnel will meet you at the restaurant entrance and accompany you to your table.
Please do not remove your mask until you are seated at the table. When you leave the table, please wear your mask.
For reasons of traceability we are obliged to record your contact details. We will bring you a form which you are kindly requested to fill in completely, if you have not already noted down your data in advance. We collect the form with the first order of drinks.
Our service personnel will take your wishes at the table as usual. Please do not come to the counter, but give us a sign. For further orders of drinks, we would like you to coordinate with each other so that we can reduce the number of contacts. We will gladly bring the bottle of wine to the table and open it for you. You may pour yourself.
Please pay attention to the cough etiquette and keep a respectful distance to your table neighbours. The red dots on the floor will help and guide you.
If possible, pay without contact.
Our restaurant closes at 10 p.m. The kitchen closes at 9 p.m.
WHAT ELSE WE DO IN OUR HOTEL TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY //
A maximum of 5 persons may stay in the reception building at the same time. If this is the case, please wait outside the door until one person has left the building.
At the reception we have installed a plexiglass partition for protection.
During check-in, contact between staff and guests is limited to the bare essentials. The same applies to the haptic contact with consumer goods such as pens and card readers. These are regularly cleaned and disinfected.
All room keys are cleaned and disinfected before being issued.
We are happy to escort guests who are with us for the first time to their room, while observing the protective measures. Regular guests or guests who have already stayed with us are kindly requested to go to their room on their own.
Please be considerate of other guests in the hotel corridors and on the stairs and agree on who gives way to whom in order to maintain a safe distance.
Our rooms are cleaned according to strict hygiene guidelines. We also ask you to air your room regularly.
We have reduced the use of items in the rooms that are used by a majority of guests (e.g. pens, magazines/newspapers, bedspreads, sofa cushions). Please call us if you miss anything. Dial 100 to reach the reception. The same applies to the conference area.

WHAT ELSE WE DO IN OUR MUSEUM TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY //
A maximum of 5 persons may stay in the building of the museum cash desk or the museum shop at the same time. Should this be the case, please wait outside the door until one person has left the building.
We have installed a Plexiglas partition at the cash desk for protection.
On the historical grounds (museum incl. outdoor facilities) we limit the number of guests to 60 persons. Please be considerate of other guests in the corridors and on the stairs and agree on who gives way to whom in order to maintain a safe distance.
Our audio guides are cleaned and disinfected after each use. You are welcome to use your own headphones.

OUR HYGIENE CONCEPT FOR EVENTS //
We are pleased about the gradual easing of restrictions for events:
- In the outdoor area
- From 27 May 2020, up to 100 persons are permitted.
- From 10 June 2020 up to 250 persons are permitted.
- In the interior
- From 10 June 2020, up to 75 persons are permitted.
- From 24 June 2020, up to 150 persons are permitted.
Our spacious rooms and outdoor areas can therefore be booked for events in small groups. We will prepare and adhere to all protective measures provided for this purpose, e.g. a delimitation of the room and marked paths, entrance controls and minimum distances between tables and chairs.
Furthermore, a minimum distance of 1.5 metres to other people must be maintained and a mouth-nose mask must be worn (except at the table). A maximum of two households may be placed at one table. Accumulations of several people are to be avoided, even in waiting lines. Dancing is permitted with a minimum distance of 3 metres.
Unfortunately, we are still not allowed to offer buffets. Therefore, no catering is possible on the historical grounds with the exception of the chapel courtyard.
You are welcome to book the entire castle complex exclusively.
For reasons of traceability, we are also obliged to record the address and contact details of guests at events, as we do for restaurant visits. If it is a private event, we kindly ask the host to send us a list with first and last names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses of the guests.
We are very pleased that marriage ceremonies can take place at Reichenstein Castle again. In addition to the bridal couple, their witnesses and the registrar, the following persons may participate:
- Persons related to the bridal couple in the first degree parents, grandparents and siblings.
- Persons of one other household.
- In addition, further persons may participate, but only if the upper limit of the room in which the wedding ceremony takes place has not yet been reached with the persons mentioned under 1 and 2. The number of additional persons is determined by the maximum number of persons which is intended for the respective room.
